Last night our family invited about 30 people over to watch the Stanley Tam story…The clip above is just 1 of 7, so I encourage you to view all 7 or find the entire video on the IBLP Store.  Some quotes that stood out to me:

“Whatever problem you have right now, God has the answer…”

“God gives us the command before He gives us the money.”  Tam encouraged us to make commitments as to how we will handle our business and giving, while things are small.  Commit to the Lord and then allow Him to prosper you.

“The most important decisions we make are those we make when we are at the bottom.” – Tam found himself on the street with just 13 cents in his pocket – years later he was running 4 multi-million dollar businesses.

“If a farmer has 100 bushels and plants 10%, only the 10% will multiply.  The portion stored in the barn will not multiply”.  Consider how you treat money…

“You don’t grow until you have a ministry.”

“Everything God does is a miracle.”

As I listened to the commitments Tam made while he was small, I could see how God had raised this man up simply because he was willing to put his trust in God and follow the things God was calling him to do.  It would be tempting to try and copy the things Tam did, but this is not a formula for success…it’s an exhortation to seek God and find out what God is calling each one of us to do.
